The University of Pécs, as the coordinator of the Green AURA tender supported by the Interreg VA Hungary - Croatia Cooperation Program, undertook to present the developments and research areas of the Municipality of Pécs and the University of Pécs related to climate protection with an exhibition based on augmented reality (AR). Our goal is for people living in and visiting Pécs to learn about the transport, waste management, energy consumption, nutrition and other solutions that can help protect our climate in their daily lives. The exhibition consists of several elements that can be assembled, but can also be used independently. We place markers on the exhibit elements, which visitors can use to view additional information (infographics, videos, audio, animations) through the screen of their smartphone. To access the AR content, the Green AURA application must be pre-downloaded.The central element of the exhibition is the terrain table depicting Pécs, on which the models of the developments are displayed. Around the field table are three thematic exhibition tables that describe specific climate-friendly technologies along the following topics: energy, waste, water, and wastewater. In order to illustrate more comprehensively, four additional columns appear to present the global impacts of human activities related to each topic and the related research of the university in an intelligible form using augmented reality. The University is cooperating in the project with Pécs Városfejlesztési Zrt., As well as with the Northern Energy Agency and the city of Kapronca on the Croatian side.As the coordinator of the Green AURA project - supported by the Interreg VA Hungary-Croatia Co-operation Program - University of Pécs undertook to present the climate protection related developments and research areas of the Municipality and the University of Pécs, by an augmented reality ( AR) supported exhibition.
